all_strange_wondersOne extra day off and all of a sudden it's "oooh, let's have some deep-seated dread about having to go back to work tomorrow!"
Like, thank you, Brain. All of your very subtle signposting has, in fact, let me know that my job is a A Problem for my mental health and that the rails between me and another breakdown are finite. Unfortunately, we're in the middle of a goddamn pandemic and I don't really have the bandwidth for finding another job or switching entire career fields. Despite the fact that the internet is basically full of nothing but words, nobody wants to pay us to be Good At Words But Without Formal Qualifications In A Specific Words Field.
Anyway, thanks for letting me know that the engines are dying and we need to either find some way to coast to a safe landing or just crash horribly, that's cool and adds no pressure at all.
